A global Spanish-language rap battle.

Red Bull Batalla has grown into one of Red Bull’s largest events in Spanish-speaking markets, with its visual identity evolving year after year to capture the raw energy and dynamism of the competition.
While at Nativo, I worked on key assets for the main event, including digital and print media, as well as the medals awarded to national champions from South America, the United States, and Spain. I also developed graphics that shaped the visual identity of the World Final—an essential milestone for the event, reaching an audience of roughly 1.6 million people each year.

Red Bull Batalla Internacional México 2017
The international final in Mexico embraced a wrestling–lucha libre theme. Each country’s competitor was assigned a unique luchador mask, while the main key visual featured iconic lucha-inspired graphics that were echoed throughout every visual asset for the event.

Red Bull Batalla 2018 - 2021
With Red Bull Batalla’s rapid growth, 2018 became a pivotal year for the event’s visual identity. The brand intentionally moved away from its underground roots to embrace a broader, more contemporary aesthetic. This evolution led to the creation of new graphic elements, including redesigned trophies for national champions. I did some research into each country’s culture and translated those insights into custom patterns tailored to each nation from 2018 to 2021.
